When planning to perform LLW on or in the vicinity of insulators, it is necessary to first determine their existing electrical withstand level. Evaluation of insulator damage that could affect electrical performance is limited to determining if condition of the insulators is safe for the duration of the work period for that day only and not intended to determine electrical end of life of the insulator.
